On May 22, 2022, M Auto Electric Mobility, an electric vehicle manufacturer situated in the Adétikopé commercial hub, introduced two electric bike designs. In a media briefing at the two février hotels, the bikes were unveiled to the press.

There are two models available: the Chap Chap and Commando, which costs CFA900,000 and CFA1,179,000, respectively.

Bike purchases can be made in parts or whole. These versions can be purchased over 36 months, with payments made using mobile payments (T Money or Flooz) 25 days a month. Chap chap models can be purchased for CFA999 per day, whereas the Commando model can be purchased for CFA1,299 per day. M Auto also announced that it would supply the bikes' batteries across the state, using connections with various fuel distributors. It signed deals with Somayaf, TotalEnergies, and Energium, among many others. In the far future, 200 petrol stations should have battery switching terminals.

The company stated, "M Auto's long-term objective is to have a rechargeable batteries facility every one kilometer." As per Emmeline Brutus, program head at M Auto, recharging a battery costs CFA1300, and a completely charged battery can travel 75 kilometers.

Soon, there will be a manufacturing plant.

M Auto announces it intends to launch a manufacturing operation in Togo after earlier launching an assembly plant in the nation. As per Yasmeen Jawaharali, co-founder of M Auto, the facility, which is currently under construction and expected to be completed after this year, will create 3,000 employment in Benin and Togo.

"Togo has a significant commercial network of two-wheelers and legislative measures that encourage the construction of domestic electric car production facilities. M AUTO has a fantastic possibility here, "the co-founder commented further. Togo currently has almost 300 million AUTO motorbikes on the road.

Investments in the environment

Africa Transformation and Industrialization Fund (ATIF), an organization located in Abu Dhabi that focuses on industrial and economic growth in Africa, owns the majority of M Auto. Shegun Adjadi Bakari, a previous key counselor to President Faure Gnassingbé, is among the fund's members. M Auto, according to Bakari, is a "technical and fine product for African masses" as they migrate to renewable energy. Hopes are high around the world for the latest electric vehicles. Their survival will open a new chapter in the resolution of technology worldwide.
